Important: Your uploaded photos and videos are processed using artificial intelligence to generate personalized AI videos. This process involves:
- Detecting and aligning facial features from your media
- Applying templates or transformations via AI
- Generating synthetic video content from your input
Your uploaded content is securely stored and never shared publicly or sold to third parties. It is used solely to provide the requested generation service.
You may delete your uploaded content at any time from your account interface. Upon deletion, content is permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.
Picovix processes photos or videos provided voluntarily by users that may contain human faces, solely for the purpose of delivering AI-generated image or video content explicitly requested by the user.
The face-related data processed by the app may include facial landmarks, contours, and visual features necessary to perform AI-based transformations such as face-based video generation or visual effects. Picovix does not use face data for identity verification, biometric identification, or user authentication.
Face data is used only to fulfill user-initiated actions within the app and is never used for advertising, tracking, profiling, or analytics purposes. Specifically, we use face data to:
- Detect and align facial features to apply AI transformations
- Generate AI-powered video content based on selected templates
- Ensure visual quality and accuracy of generated content
- Improve our AI models' performance (only when explicitly permitted by you)
Face data is not shared with third parties for their own purposes. Processing may occur on secure servers operated by Picovix or its infrastructure providers strictly for completing the requested AI generation task. All data transfers are protected using industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 or higher).
Our infrastructure providers are bound by strict data protection agreements and are only permitted to process face data on our behalf for the sole purpose of delivering the service. They cannot use your face data for any other purpose.
Face data is retained only for the duration necessary to complete the requested AI processing. Our retention policy is as follows:
- Temporary Processing Data: Face landmarks and intermediate processing data are automatically deleted within 24 hours after the AI generation task is completed
- Original Uploaded Photos: Stored in your account until you choose to delete them or close your account
- Generated Content: Retained until you delete it from your library, or until your account is closed
- Backup Systems: All face data is purged from backup systems within 30 days of deletion
You have the right to delete your face data at any time through your account settings. Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered and is permanently removed from our active systems within 24 hours, and from all backup systems within 30 days.
We implement stringent security measures to protect your face data:
- Encryption in Transit: All face data transfers use TLS 1.3 encryption
- Encryption at Rest: Face data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption when stored
- Access Controls: Face data is accessible only to authorized personnel and automated systems strictly necessary for processing
- Secure Processing Environment: AI processing occurs in isolated, secure cloud environments with regular security audits
- Monitoring: 24/7 security monitoring and intrusion detection systems
- Data Breach Response: We will notify you within 72 hours if we discover any unauthorized access to your face data
You have specific rights concerning your face data:
- Consent: You provide explicit consent when uploading photos containing faces. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your content
- Access: You can request a copy of all face data we have processed for you
- Deletion: You can delete any uploaded photos or generated content containing your face data at any time
- Correction: You can re-upload photos if the processed results are not satisfactory
- Opt-out of AI Model Training: By default, your face data is NOT used for AI model training. If we introduce such features in the future, we will obtain your explicit opt-in consent
- Data Portability: You can download your original uploaded photos and generated videos at any time

Picovix does not knowingly collect or process face data from children under 13 years of age (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Our service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or upload photos.
If you upload photos containing faces of children, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents from the children's parents or legal guardians. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected face data from a child without proper parental consent, we will delete such data immediately.
We comply with applicable biometric privacy laws, including but not limited to:
- Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA): We inform you of the specific purpose and length of time for which your biometric identifiers (face data) are being collected, stored, and used. We will not sell, lease, trade, or profit from your biometric data, and we will permanently destroy your biometric data within 3 years of your last interaction with Picovix or within 24 hours of receiving your deletion request, whichever comes first
- Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI): We do not capture biometric identifiers for commercial purposes without obtaining your consent
- Washington Biometric Privacy Law: We do not enroll face data in a database for commercial purposes without providing notice and obtaining consent
- GDPR (EU) Article 9: We process biometric data (face data) only with your explicit consent for the specific purpose of AI video generation
Our legal basis for processing face data varies by jurisdiction:
- Consent: You provide explicit consent when you upload photos and initiate AI generation
- Contract Performance: Processing is necessary to provide the AI video generation service you have requested
- Legitimate Interest: We have a legitimate interest in improving service quality, subject to your rights and our safeguards
You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your uploaded content or closing your account. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
